If you are setting it up in Debian it is really as the install script sets everything up. You need to start with a very basic Debian install with only SSH and FTP installed. ...

Hi Earthlings and Others! The backup that I put in there never did show up. BUT I just pointed the restore command to the / (root) folder where I put it and everything restored just fine! The auto-backup is working just fine now and it is saving the backups to the / folder where it belongs. You can ...

Re: Can't get into to login page. Connection times out
Can't get in no matter what I do! I think I am being hacked on this machine so I built a new one on my other servers.
I am having fun getting my backup to reinstall everything on the new server!
...So another new entry here for that!
Thank you very much for your help!

Can't get into to login page. Connection times out
Hi! I am running MyVesta on Debian 10 as a virtual machine in ESXi. It has a static public IP. When I try to bring up the login page using Firefox on a Mac and other browsers as well, it fails citing a timeout. The server time and date are correct. If I go to the server's web address (hostname) with...

Re: Let's Encrypt works OK on server but not on browser
Hi there! After much interesting checking around we got it going by doing exactly that. Chrome was OK with it but FireFox and othere would not work without turning that on. It was a very interesting problem to solve. We are using MyVesta for serving a web based virtual world system called Immworlds....
