If you use Nginx, you can try what gn7 said. Edit the sitename.nginx.conf file and restart Nginx. For Apache, you can use .htaccess or the proxy template.

You can edit the /etc/resolv.conf file and add the DNS addresses you want to use, like Google's (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4). After that, restart your network service.

You can increase system limits easily with the script provided by myVesta. Just download and execute it to resolve issues like "too many open files" on NGINX.
