hi and merry Xmas :)

i have 2 sites with www.domain.com in their aliases (Web section in control panel)
im running SSL lets encrypt that also shows for both sites their certificate names
SUBJECT: domain.com
ALIASES: domain.com www.domain.com

i have another, a 3rd domain.com that shows an error "code 8" when i try to add a
www.domain.com as an aliases.to access this site with ssl i must type
https://domain.com or domain.com. but if i type www.domain.com another site is shown instead.
in the lets encrypt section i get this which makes sense as to why www. dont work
SUBJECT: dirqis.com
ALIASES: dirqis.com

what is a code 8 ? and how can i add a www. aliases for 3 domain.com ?

thanks

go to https://mxtoolbox.com/DNSLookup.aspx and check if both dirqis.com and www.dirqis.com resolves to the same IP address?

In myVesta panel, when you open WEB -> dirqis.com -> EDIT, do you have www.dirqis.com in "Alias" field?

PL, try to add www.dirqis.com to Alias button, then turn OFF Letsencrypt checkbox and SSL checkox, and click "Save" button.
Then turn ON Letsencrypt checkbox and SSL checkox, and click again "Save" button.
New SSL should contains www alias now.

Test 1
logged from client side control panel.

1, Web > Edit Domain
2, entered www.domain-name.com (in aliases box)
3, turned OFF Letsencrypt checkbox and SSL checkox
4, clicked save button

Results from above
Error code: 8 linux like dialog box appears with an ok button
1, clicked the error code 8 Ok button
2, SSL Support check box is automatically re-selected (enabled) again
3, Lets Encrypt Support check box is automatically re-selected (enabled) again

i also tried to adding the www.dom.com again but this time i deleted the certificates details after pressing the error code 8 ok button the certs were all filled with the original details, ssl and letsencrytp were re-enabled again

Test 2
logged into client control panel via admin

1, User > login as user
2, Web > Edit Domain
3, entered www.domain-name.com (in aliases box)
4, turned OFF Letsencrypt checkbox and SSL checkox
5, clicked save button

Results
i get the same results as was produced in Test 1

Test 3
still in client control panel via admin

1, unchecked Lets Encrypt Support and then SSL Support
2, save

Results
→ Changes have been saved.

Test 4
the account now has no ssl
i tried adding www.dom.com in the aliases box

Result
error code 8 box

i hope this helps.

Thanks

Not sure what is happening, probably log files /usr/local/vesta/log/system.log and /usr/local/vesta/log/letsencrypt.log might help you.
Alternatively, you can send me SSH and myvesta login via private message, and I will take a look.
