SSL support for SMTP and IMAP for mail.somedomain.com

For now, myVesta support exim/dovecot SSL only for server hostname.
Next big update will be support for subdomains and for other domains (HestiaCP already has support for it).

What you can do now is to (as admin)

• go to WEB -> Edit (edit your.hostname . com)

• add mail.somedomain.com as Alias

• Save it
• On the same page turn off SSL, and Save it
• On the same page turn on SSL and LetsEncrypt, and Save it

It will regenerate SSL for your hostname, and that SSL will also be valid for mail.somedomain.com, so you can use it as IMAP and SMTP hostname.

I did all the steps letsencrypt worked shows alieses mail.somedomain.com but when i try to conect imap it sais invalid certificate... it still uses the myvesta for panel certificate... doesnt pass it through to mail!!

do you have valid certificate on hostname ?
did you added alias there?
restart dovecot and exim4 ?

Yes i have valid certificate with aliases "www." and "mail." lets encrypt accepted and mai.xxxx.com as you said but when i go to setup my mail in thunderbird the certificate is the initial created upon installation and not the domain i want!!

i think you added aliases to wrong place.

I assumes you have:

• serverhostname WEB
• yourdomain.com WEB

you should add aliases to first point

yes, you can.
just remove those aliases from domain if you created them there.
