if i restore backup

hey i got some issues with one of my wrodpress site so I had to restore backup when I restore backup from the panel the current db and web remove and install the backup ?

or needs to remove the db and web before installing the backup ?

in the backup restore menu selected
WEB DOMAIN and DATABASE

Restoring do what the name says - just restoring.
Files will be overwritten, DB tables too - in case the backup HAS those files and tables.
But, if the backup has no some new file/table - those files/tables would not be overwritten.
So, if you need to ensure all data is deleted (before backup restore) - delete it yourself.
